Collection: Fashion Art Dolls aRt-To-Wear by Mitch E.V. 2018

This collection has been exhibited on the runways of Holiday Inn Manila and Green Sun Makati Hotel for Fashion Forte and Philippine Fashion Gala.

I have been interested in dolls since childhood. I even made my own dolls, (paper dolls) and created a lot of paper dresses for them as well.

When I look back at the diversity of painting, digital designing wearable art and crafting that I've been doing for the past years, I realized, that specific childhood memory could be the timestamp when I started to get fascinated with articulated dolls, dress forms and posers basically used by artists and designers for their craft.

And as I have read in the history, there was a time that a purpose of dolls, especially the "fashion dolls" has transformed from religious and practical to artistic, reinforcing the notion that clothes are not just something that we put on our body, but can be an artistic expression of ideas and individuality.
